2022 Primary Election - May 17 2023 Primary Election - May 16 |
Why should you care who gets elected to public office? Because every aspect of public education is the result of a decision made by an elected official. School councils, boards of education, members of the Kentucky General Assembly, the governor and other constitutional officers all make decisions about when, where and how public education services are delivered throughout the Commonwealth. And those decisions affect you and your students every day.
The best way to influence education policy at the local and state level is to elect decisionmakers who believe in and support the work that you do. Being involved in KEPAC will help you do that. KEPAC’s mission is to promote the cause of public education in Kentucky through political action. We do that by working to elect candidates who will make policies that support – not undermine – the school employees who devote their working lives to educating young people.
